James Pendrith is a professional trumpet player who is now deaf in one ear and also has facial paralysis, which is much like being a pilot with vertigo and also blindness. Somewhat out of a regular job, he is reborn as James Pendeaf and takes to the stage to muse on the inherent irony of life.
